I want to show my friends a skit that i made at school, but it's on a dvd, how could i safely get the video from a dvd on to my hard drive?

I know 3gp is accepted on mobile, thus I converted my DVD videos to 3gp format for watching on my mobile. However, both the picture and sound quality are bad and low-quality. Then how do people watch HD videos on their phones? What is the best format for smartphones?

Can I copy photos from my computer onto a DVD-R disk?

I have copied Audio_TS and Video_TS folders to my local drive, how can I burn these folder to another blank DVD disc and make it looks like the same DVD I copied from?
