Case 3. I have a Kindle device.

Download Kindle for Mac latest version

No matter your Mac version is 10.14 or later (For Case 1 and Case 2 users), you can just download kindle books via kindle for mac latest version and then remove drm with imElfin Ultimate.

Case 1. My Mac version is 10.14 and order version.

Compared with the other case, this one is much easier.

Step 1. Download Kindle for Mac 1.23.  

If you’ve upgraded kindle for Mac to later version(higher than 1.23), please uninstall it and then redownload kindle for Mac 1.23 or older version.

Once your kindle for Mac 1.23 has been installed successfully, just register it with your Amazon account.

Step 2. Download Kindle books.

Step 3. Launch imElfin Ultimate. Downloaded Kindle books will show in the left corner and just drag them to the right side to remove drm.

Step 4. Then choose any format you like, click on “Convert to .." to convert kindle books to pdf/epub/azw3.

Case 2. My Mac version is 10.15 Catalina or later.

If your Mac system version is 10.15 Catalina or later, downgrading Kindle for Mac to an older version will not work for you. In this case, you can use some command lines to disable Kindle KFX and remove Kindle DRM successfully.

Note: This method works on all Mac version, not only valid for Catalina and Big Sur.

please ensure you've installed kindle for Mac 1.31 or older version. If you are using kindle for Mac 1.32, or later version, please install the Kindle for Mac 1.31 first.

Step 1. Remove all downloaded Kindle books at first. They are all new kindle kfx which is not crackable.

Step 2. Open terminal and paste the following command:

sudo chmod -x /Applications/Kindle.app/Contents/MacOS/renderer-test

Then fill in your Mac computer passwords and press "Enter".

Step 3. Launch Kindle for Mac and then right click book cover and select "Download" to download your Kindle books.

Important: Please right-click to download the kindle book and don't open it before it has been decrypted.

Step 4. Lanuch imElfin Ultimate, and then drag kindle books from left to right side. The kindle drm will be removed.

Step 5. Select the output format from the bottom button and then click “Convert to .." and your kindle books will be converted to your required format.

Then click the folder icon at the bottom-right corner and you'll see all your converted and decrypted books.

Case 3: I Have a Kindle Device

If you have a kindle device, the steps for removing drm from kindle books will be much easier. Since the kindle device registered with your Amazon account, the "Downlaod and transfer via usb" option will be active. Thus, you can download kindle books via "Download and transfer via usb" and remove the kindle drm easily.

By using this method, you need to:

1. have a kindle device, regardless of kindle eink device like kindle paperwhite or kindle fire;

2. register this kindle device with your Amazon account.

You can benefit from this method:

1. the newly published kindle books in 2023 also can be download by this way and can be cracked easily;

2. it doesn't matter you are using old Mac system or the latest one.

Case 4. I don't have a kindle device but need to crack Kindle books published in 2023
