Find FAQ: dvd 5

Hi my parents usually rent movies at night and they want to watch there movie first and by then the time is late. So i want to copy the DVD files and watch it on my computer and then delete the copy files ,cause my HDD is small. This is for personal use only i do not want to give copies to my friend as that will hurt the DVD rental economy.
I should say there are many occasions when I want to copy a DVD to another DVD for backup.I also know that there may be some difference between homemade and commercial DVD movies. Now anyone can tell me how to backup both regardless of DVD copy protection?
Can I copy photos from my computer onto a DVD-R disk?
Any ideas about blank DVD? --
I downloaded the 5th season of The Big Bang Theory to my pc and I know how to save the video file on a disk (Im Using DVD Flick). But I dont have any blank disks and know little about this. They should be supported by DVD Player and my XBOX 360. What blank DVD should I buy?
I have a lot of dvds and bluray disk movies at hand. What troubles me most is that some disks were damaged or lost because of many factors. I don't want to be the situation any more.So I like to know any useful ideas about backup them on my computer.Any suggestions will be of great help.
I want to copy my LEGALLY PURCHASED 3D BD movies to my home network hard drives (movies, tv, etc.) to playback with PowerDVD 15 ultra for example. I want MOVIE ONLY (3D), no loss of resolution, readily played by the player (could be another you may recommend instead).
Please email me at scarpia@cox.net. I will download the trial, anyway. Thanks...

Continued Error? --
Just purchased dvd and blu ray full ripper 107. I keep getting an error after I use program once close it and start again Qt5Network.dll I am trying to solve but with much trouble. So I keep having to reinstall the program?
I need a simple to use all in one dvd copying program that will rip, decode, shrink ,decrypt, whatever. Free would be great but I don't mind paying if I have to.
error with trial blu ray? --
error when downloading the blu ray ripper trial. At that adress : http://download.imelfin.com/blu-ray-ripper.zip
when unzipping, its is the DVD ripper, not blu ray !
Compability? --

Your system use to work great. But I haven't used it in several months and now I'm not able to rip any BD's , it seams to work just fine on a DVD though. I did just recently upgrade to OS X Yosemite
